Learn Some Basic Luxembourgish
If you’d like to learn a few words and key phrases in Luxembourgish, you’ll want to tune into our next webinar with our partner Liz Wenger from Learn Luxembourgish.
In this fun one-hour, no-pressure webinar, Liz will teach basic Luxembourgish words and phrases. Knowing a little Luxembourgish is a great way to show your Luxembourgish pride and it can be helpful if you plan to visit the Grand Duchy.
About Liz Wenger
In 2015, Liz Wenger wrote the first English-language book designed to help learners teach themselves Luxembourgish. Since then, more than 8,000 copies have been sold worldwide, helping people reconnect with their heritage, master basic pronunciation and build confidence in reading and speaking Luxembourgish.
Liz and her team continue to guide thousands of learners—from complete beginners to fluent speakers. You don’t have to live in a country to learn to speak its language.
“For more than 10 years, we’ve had the joy of teaching Luxembourgish online to Americans from coast to coast — it’s a community we truly love working with,” Liz said.
Liz was born and raised in Luxembourg, studied in Scotland and now lives in Toronto, Canada, with her Canadian husband and two kids.
Our Luxembourg Legacy Presents webinar is free of charge, but participants are asked to consider a free-will, tax-deductible donation to the Luxembourg Heritage Society of Elba, Minnesota, which oversees the upkeep of the historic Marnach House in Whitewater State Park in Elba. It’s one of three 19th century Luxembourg stone houses preserved in the United States in the 1990s by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture. Marnach House, a gem of Luxembourg heritage, is open to the public for events throughout the year.
