In November of 1993, the Luxembourg Heritage Society presented to the University of St. Thomas a collection of more than 270 books, periodicals, and maps related to the history and civilization of Luxembourg. Subsequent purchases and donations from individuals and organizations in Luxembourg and the United States have increased the size of the collection to over 2,000 volumes.

“The Luxembourg American Cultural Society is proud to have one of the largest collections of resources pertaining to Luxembourg genealogy, heritage, and culture outside of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg itself.

The Dooley-Wagner Research Center is open to both LACS members and the general public, but all of its materials are non-circulating. It is staffed by a professional curator who is assisted by dedicated volunteers (appointments required).”

National Archives of Luxembourg

These archives are a huge repository of history books, maps, atlases, photographs, ephemera and legal documents.  Unfortunately, their website is not in English.  Consider making a visit to the National Archives when you visit Luxembourg. Contact the staff for an appointment prior to visiting to make your visit more productive.
