Due to staff reductions that started January 1, 2026, and the growing demand for dual citizenship, appointments at the Bierger Center are currently booked out in advance for two to two and a half months. That means Luxembourg Legacy clients applying for Luxembourg citizenship through the Article 23 process now need a three-month advance notice to request a Stage 2 appointment at the Bierger Center.
You cannot shorten the time between receiving your Stage 1 certificate and going to Luxembourg to apply to less than three months since it is not possible to get an appointment at the Bierger Center without a minimum of three months advance notice.
Please be mindful of this as you begin planning your trip to Luxembourg to submit your Stage 2 application. Contact the Luxembourg Legacy staff at least three months prior to going to Luxembourg to submit your Stage 2 application. This will allow us enough time to secure an appointment for you and begin the preparation of your Stage 2 application documents. It is fine to request an appointment more than three and even six months in advance.
