In June 2025, Luxembourg’s only 5-star hotel Villa Petrusse opened in Luxembourg City. The hotel and its Le Lys (The Lily) restaurant are located in a 19th century mansion on Avenue Marie-Therese that underwent a five-year, €40 million restoration. While the 20-room boutique hotel and Le Lys restaurant might be out of your budget, the Villa Petrusse property also boasts a more moderately priced bistro called Ciel (sky in French).
Ciel not only offers tasty lunches, it also is a wonderful place to stop for an early afternoon coffee and dessert. Besides enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, you can also stroll in the Villa Petrusse gardens free of charge and experience some spectacular views of the Adolphe Bridge and the Petrusse Valley.
