Chocolate House Nathalie Bonn

Each month, we feature a best-kept Luxembourg secret—the inside scoop on cool things to do, places to eat, neat things to buy and unique experiences. This edition features Chocolate House Nathalie Bonn, across from the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City, a charming place to stop for an indulgent treat.

You’ll find cakes, macarons, candy and more at Chocolate House Nathalie Bonn in Luxembourg City.

One of the favorite tourist sites is the magnificent Grand Ducal Palais (palace) on Marché-aux-Herbes adjacent to Place Guillaume. After viewing the palace, simply do a 180-degree turn and you will find another one of the city’s gems: Chocolate House Nathalie Bonn.

Founded by renowned chocolatier Nathalie Bonn, Chocolate House, located at 20, rue du Marché-aux-Herbes, is a delightful place to stop for hot cocoa, coffee, delicious hand-crafted chocolates or a huge slice of scrumptious cake.

Chocolate House features a variety of Luxembourgish items, including chocolate bars in the shape of the Grand Ducal place, decorated chocolates featuring Luxembourg’s Golden Lady, Red Lion and its mermaid Melusina. These make ideal gifts to take home to your friends and family.

When you enter the first floor of Chocolate House, it can be crowded with people eyeing up the delicacies and waiting to place an order. But the wait is never too long, and it’s worth it. On the second floor is a lovely, quieter area with tables and chairs—a great place to relax and enjoy the best that Chocolate House has to offer.
