Who Qualified?*

Anyone with a direct-line ancestor born in Luxembourg who was alive anywhere in the world on January 1, 1900

Do I need to travel to Luxembourg?

Yes, if you already submitted your Stage 1 application via Article 89, you had to complete your in-person presentation of documents by the end of 2025.

When Luxembourg extended the reclamation track of the Nationality Law, it changed the requirements for applicants. It may be that the lineage that your family member used is no longer valid for reclamation. Please reach out to see if there are other options for you.
